Why These 10 Bee-Friendly Plants Are Important For Your Garden

One out of every three bites of food that we eat is made possible by pollinators like honey bees. Raymond Carriere, founding president of Communities in Bloom and a former park ranger, says that wasps are the aggressive stingers, not bees. “I wouldn’t put my hand in a beehive and turn it upside down, they might get a tad upset,” he jokes. “But I would not be afraid if bees are around, they generally don’t sting.”

We can each do our part by planting a few flowers to foster them. “Bolstering a garden with sources of pollen, such as the plants below, will help bees thrive,” says Raymond. Click through for 10 bee-friendly plants your garden will thank you for.
