It turns out Bad At Love singer Halsey is pretty good at real estate, Dirt reports. The singer formerly known as Ashley Frangipane recently listed her sprawling Monte Nido estate in L.A. for sale at nearly $12 million USD, only two years after she bought it from One Direction’s Liam Payne.
The 9,569 square-foot main house was built in the early 1990s and tucked into the semi-remote hills between Calabasas and Malibu. The 5-acre estate has been gradually upgraded by the former celeb owner according to Dirt.com. In this living room, a giant carved fireplace is inset with Mediterranean tiles.
The dining room’s French doors open onto a view of the waterfall. A beamed ceiling and wrought iron accents instil a Spanish flavor.
The double-height family room is adjacent to the gourmet kitchen.
The kitchen is fitted with wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and a center island, as well as breakfast bar seating.
The richly paneled library is encircled by a second-floor gallery. The walls are lined with mahogany wood, built-in bookshelves and the room is outfitted with an impressive stone fireplace.
A curving staircase embellished with a wrought iron balustrade is a clubby, old school touch.
A dramatic arched window sheds plenty of light inside the principal bedroom. A cosy seating area is tucked under the angled ceiling.
The principal ensuite is tiled with Spanish-style terracotta tiles. The sculptural standalone tub is the focal point in the neutral scheme.
A professional-grade screening room is outfitted with trendy, colorful sofas, a welcome update to the standard red faux-leather theatre seats.
A long, meandering stone pathway leads up the the home’s arched entrance.
The outdoor spots include waterfalls, koi ponds, vast terraces and lush gardens. This lounge area is located near a picturesque man-made waterfall.
Set atop a sunny knoll with wrap around views, Halsey turned this stone pavilion into a meditation/massage studio.
The serene and ultra-private compound also includes a resort-style swimming pool and pool house with a a guest suite and fitness room.
The outdoor spaces contain mature sycamores and ancient oak. There’s also a vineyard, a dog run, vast patios with an outdoor kitchen and even a creek running the property’s full length.
