Actress Alexandra Daddario and her new husband Andrew Form just bought a former surfer’s retro hangout in Mandeville Canyon for $2.8 million USD, according to Dirt.com. The two-storey post and beam house is described as a treehouse that backs up to a steep hillside. Step inside the mid-century L.A. home below.
The listing describes the property as “the ultimate creative retreat” and was designed in the late 1950s by surfer-turned-architect Matt Kivlin. The living room contains a pair of Ib Kofod Larsen lounge chairs reupholstered in a Pierre Frey fabric.
Rooms on the upper level open to a wraparound deck with forest-like views and guarantees privacy for the celebrity couple.
A shag carpet covers the loft space, which includes Joybird’s Eliot chair, a goldenrod Mario Bellini sofa and a Brazilian lounge chair from 1stDibs.
